Not only is it broken ... it looks as if it's melting or even sinking into something ... liquidy, of course!!! Interesting concept & composition, like the play on depth-of-field (which happens to contribute to that sinking/melting feeling/look) ...

Thanks! Actually, the cassette is on a table where people were developing film. I saw some spilt chemicals on the table one day and i put the broken cassette in it. It kind of looks like it's been murdered! However, at the time that I took it, I didn't plan on it looking like it was dead. hahaha...
